Ever since I went to Bonnaroo in 2015, I have held a special place in my heart for the festival community. The wide variety of art, music, and kindness is something everyone should experience at least once in their lives. As with all things in life, there is another side. Predators taking advantage of the kindness of others, substance abuse, and negligent production puts millions of people at risk every year. I was lucky to find a way to give back to the community I love through using my medical skills to help those in need at festivals. I also teach a workshop to festival attendees on staying safe and healthy while in the festival environment.
